Patterns & Textures

Les Motifs et Textures

Salut!

A while ago (like back at the beginning of summer), I was planning on doing a post about pattern play, but I never got around to it until now. I had so much fun creating these combinations, because I literally threw things together from my closet. The first outfit came about because my sister & I were rummaging through a coat closet at home. This jacket is the definition of vintage. I’m honestly not even sure if it is real fur or not, but I’m pretending it’s faux. I knew that I wanted to do a post with this jacket the moment I saw it, but I didn’t know what I would pair it with until I found this super cute see-through blouse. The second outfit in this post was my take on an outfit by Lo Murph. So I can’t take all the credit for it.  The crazy thing is that I went into Nordstrom Rack just to peruse and I found an almost exact match of the skirt she was wearing. I love tweed, so I was pretty happy about this. AND the skirt is on sale.

So since this post is about mixing patterns and textures, I am linking the best guide on how to do this. I was thinking of writing my own version, but I love how this article was written. Let me know if you think these outfits came together well or if I’m just crazy ha ha.
