So this will be the 3rd post for today y’all! Even though I originally wanted this post to be a simple lifestyle post, I changed my mind about it because I feel like writing about more than tulips.

As of late, I’ve had some pretty bad experiences with people and it has made me start to think about how cynical people can become over time. In a world that is filled with corruption and negativity, it is very easy to stop caring and just give up. BUT that is why I’m writing this. My mom always told me not to let the world change me or influence me (I wonder where she got that from… Romans 12:2-3) and I always tried to keep that in mind as I grew up, until recently. Because what she said and what that verse is saying doesn’t only pertain to what you do, but also how you think. It’s such a simple concept, yet it can become very easy to lose sight of that.

It is 1000x easier to not care about others or be closed off & mistrusting than it is to be loving and vulnerable in any human interaction. I’ve been heartbroken several times (not just pertaining to boys), but no matter what, I keep trying to give people chances, because not everyone is the same and not everyone will hurt you.

My thoughts are kind of just rambling at the moment, but I guess what I’m trying to say is try to stay positive. Nothing lasts forever (that’s a good and bad thing). But when it comes to a bad situation, just know it will not always be that way and things can get better. Also be grateful and appreciate the good times in life, because you never know when things will change.

Even though I love quotes, I don’t like how I’m constantly quoting things ha ha, but I want to end this post that way… kinda. I don’t remember if I read this or heard it somewhere, but I keep thinking about it right now. It goes something like this: the same boiling water that hardens the egg, softens the pasta. I’m not sure if that’s exactly how it goes, but I think the point is made clear. Don’t let the world turn you into a hard-boiled egg.

Thank you for reading,

Bisous bisous ♥
