Oh my goodness y’all, I wish I could say how much I loved Cuba, but I can’t put it into words. As I wrote in my previous posts, this was my first time outside the country (since I moved here from Kenya). I didn’t know what to expect, so I didn’t go in with super high expectations, but I was very pleased. I will be writing a separate post about how to plan your trip to Cuba with more details on what happened to us (it was pretty crazy ha ha).
Anyway, I just want to focus on my outfits for this post. I got almost everything from my fave online retailer (ASOS!!!) & then I already owned some of the other items. I didn’t get to photograph 2 of my outfits, so I will just have the option to shop the outfit!
So, not all my mornings looked like this, but I was lounging around our beautiful home in these SUPER comfy GAP PJs. I have them in 2 colors & I am actually going to order more. They’re perfect for me because I am usually always hot, so I don’t like pants PJs. The robe I’m wearing was a gift, so I linked a similar one.
I wore a cute & casual outfit to the airport. I typically wear athletic clothes, but this one time I wanted to look decent when I arrived in Cuba. I later regretted this (I will explain in the more detailed post ha ha).
Exploring La Habana Vieja
I wasn’t sure how to dress while walking around old Havana, but I’m used to walking around. So I wore this cute romper and my fave, reliable, comfy sandals. I would probably recommend wearing walking shoes if you plan to walk a lot. We didn’t do too many miles (I usually walk more when I go to cities like San Fran or NYC). Also, if you notice, I changed my bag in some of the photos. I carried my wooden bag in my tote for photo-ops (ha ha gotta be honest & realistic).
Santa Maria Del Mar
I brought a lot of swimsuits on this trip, but I ended up wearing this one-piece I recently bought. I love this swimsuit, but it is a little bigger up top. It’s technically not my size, but I really wanted it & it was only available in plus sizes and I’m an awkward size that’s just below those sizes. I didn’t take this hat off once I purchased it because I kept trying on hats at every vendor, but my head was too big to fit ha ha. So right before we walked to the beach, one of the vendors had a hat that fit me. I linked similar ones below, but mine was only $5.
Okay, so I sadly didn’t get to go out in this outfit. I wish I could have, but we didn’t go out on my last night. I am happy I was able to photograph it though!
We spent my last night (I was the 1st to leave) just hanging out because the beach exhausted us & a little partying from the night before. I will be rewearing this outfit to photograph it though because I just love this dress.
This is everything for now y’all! Part 2 with everything y’all need to know about planning a trip to Cuba now will be up by the end of the month (hopefully)!
